A Good Run

I don’t need you. I never needed you.

You were not and are not a critical factor of my existence. However, I did want you. Inviting you into my life was a choice – a great one – and everything was lovely for the time that you chose to stay. Do I wish that our magic had lasted a bit longer? Sure. But I’m grateful for the slice of time when were each other’s.

You are forever a part of my story, whether you like it or not.
