Fingerpaint Glow

Your touch lights me up
By the end of the night, I’m glowing
Handprints on my waist
Figure 8 trails over my shoulders
Prints from your lips shine gold
on my lips, collarbones, and in my hair
You leave brushstrokes down my spine
and up my thighs
But the brightest glow seeps out from
between my ribs
Inside, my heart’s ablaze
A blinding glow that puts every
blinking insecurity to shame
I’m a fingerpainted lantern
I’m the masterpiece of your affection
