The denial we live in
The consuming self loathe
The words left unsaid
The ‘we’ll talk about it later’
The right kind of wrong
The memories that murder
The misery we find in others
The misery we keep to ourselves
Our futures playing out in the way we wish it wouldn’t.
The control we reach for
While, ourselves we lose
